posted Mar 28, 2017, 6:39 PM by James Borg   [ updated Mar 29, 2017, 4:12 PM ]
We have an opportunity to provide Hazlet Clean Communities with 1 to 1.5 hours of service on Saturday April 8th

from 8AM-9/9:30AM. We will be cleaning the ball field, Veteran's Park and picnic area. We will meet at the parking lot across from the Pool Club Parking at 7:50AM.

The township will provide all materials for the cleanup (you should bring your own work gloves if you have them). Don't forget to bring a filled water bottle.

This cleanup is on the same date as TJ's Eagle Project. If you can only attend one or the other, attend TJ's Eagle Project,

We need to register attendees in advance. If you will be able to participate, please email Mr.Borg ASAP. Include the full name of all those who will be participating in the cleanup; parents, siblings, and friends are welcome.

This Cleanup Helps to Raise Funds for Your Troop
This is part of a Clean Communities Grant that will provide us with $10 per participant for up to 50 participants with a maximum of $500 earned. These funds will be deposited into the Troop account to offset Troop expenses. We need a minimum of 40 participants in the clean up in order to take advantage of this program.

Service Hours and SOTY
This will count towards Conservation Related Service Hours, a new requirement for some rank advancement, for all Scouts who participate. This event will also be used as a substitute SOTY event. This means any Scouts that are short a SOTY event who attend this event will earn the SOTY award. Scouts must participate for the full time the clean up is running to be credited.

This Community Service Project is Open to Non-Scouts
These hours can count towards National Honor Society, religious or any other community service hour requirements. Please share this information with your friends and family.
