posted Sep 15, 2017, 11:27 AM by James Borg
Because of our commitment to Hazlet Clean Communities they have offered their final cleanup for the year to the Troop. We will be working with the Hazlet Thunderettes during this clean up.

EVENT DETAILS
September 30 (Saturday) 8AM-9AM at Natco Park (Raritan High School - 401 Middle Rd, Hazlet, NJ 07730).
Meet at 07:50AM on the side of the High School under the solar panels.
We will be cleaning in the vicinity of the entrance to the park.

We need to have a minimum of 40 attendees to continue to participate in these Clean Communities Events.
Please email RSVP@T137.org if you will be able to participate. Include the full name of all those who will be participating in the cleanup; parents, siblings, and friends are welcome.

This is an opportunity to raise money for your Troop while assisting Hazlet Clean Communities with 1 hour of community service.
The township will provide all materials for the cleanup (you should bring your own work gloves if you have them).

Don't forget to bring a filled water bottle.

SAFETY RULES FROM HAZLET CLEAN COMMUNITIES
NO SANDALS, CLOSED TOED SHOES ONLY & ABSOLUTELY NO SHORTS. If you do not comply with these safety rules, you will not be able to participate in the cleanup.

This Cleanup Helps to Raise Funds for Your Troop
This is part of a Clean Communities Grant that will provide us with $10 per participant for up to 50 participants with a maximum of $500 earned. These funds will be deposited into the Troop account to offset Troop expenses.

Service Hours and SOTY
This will count towards Conservation Related Service Hours, a new requirement for rank advancement. This event will also be used as a substitute SOTY event. This means any Scouts that are short a SOTY event who attend this event will earn the SOTY award. Scouts must participate for the full time the clean up is running to be credited.

This Community Service Project is Open to Non-Scouts
These hours can count towards National Honor Society, religious or any other community service hour requirements.

Please share this information with your friends and family.

YIS,
Mr. Borg
